Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel said no discussion was held yet in his party about nominating other leaders as ministers in the incumbent CPN Maoist Centre-led coalition government. Speaking with journalists at the Bharatpur Airport today, Paudel said neither the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba had personally consulted him about the next nominations. The leader of anti-Deuba faction in the party, Paudel said he was ready to extend his support to Deuba to pick the ministers, provided the former prime minister was ready for the same. Meanwhile, speaking in a different context, Paudel said his supporters still had a strong hand in the Nepal Students Union Central Committee. The veteran leader also reminded that the party had called a meeting for Sunday to discuss the party’s position on local body restructuring to implement the new Constitution.
