Heading for constitution implementation

Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has stressed on the importance of unity of the all-political forces for the implementation of the constitution. Speaking at the program to mark the first anniversary of the promulgation of the constitution of Nepal on Sunday, Speaker Gharti urged all political parties for the unification stating the importance of the constitution implementation is the need of the hour. Speaking at the occasion organized by the Secretariat of the Legislature Parliament, Speaker Gharti called all the political parties to stand together to implement the constitution by addressing the demand of the agitating Madheshi Front, Tharu community and indigenous groups by the constitution. She believed that the demand put forward by the agitating Madheshi group would be fulfilled at earliest adding that there would be the election of all three-local, provincial, and national within the slated time. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chief Justice Shusila Karki among others dignitaries were present at the program organized to mark the first Constitution Day. Meanwhile, Federal Alliance (FA), an alliance of the Madhesh-based parties that also includes United Democratic Madhesi Forum (UDMF), had boycotted the program organized by the Legislature- Parliament. The Madhesh-based parties had shown their dissatisfaction towards new constitution by staging various protest movements at different phases. Earlier, lawmakers associated to nine different parties belonging to the Alliance had decided not to attend the program. At least 40 of the 595 lawmakers in the Legislature-Parliament are from the Alliance.
