Issue of the Day with Bhim Bahadur Rawal

Posted by Anup Baral September 2nd, 2016 : Newly appointed Health Minister Gagan Thapa has said that the ministry has been working to develop a mechanism in order to curb foreign visits of political leaders for medical check-up.
Organising his first press meet after assuming his office on Thursday, minister Thapa said the leaders have been misusing their authority in the name of medical treatment in foreign countries. "Personally I am against such practice. We are working within the ministry to curb such practices," said Thapa. Minister Thapa has publicly announced that he will not embark on a foreign visit for health check up with funds from state coffers.
