Prime Story : Nepal's failed development

Posted by Anup Baral | September 15, 2016 : In 1957, South Korea's GDP per capita was on the same level as Ghana's. In 1960 it was $79 per capita. Today it is at $36K and the 12th largest economy in the world (Economy of South Korea). It is also the most innovative country in the world according to Bloomberg: The Global Innovation Index. The country is 100% literate. It has one of the best education systems in the world (Where To Find The Best Education Around The World). One of the safest countries on earth (Top 10 Safest Countries In The World To Settle In 2014). One of the top Ease of doing business countries (Ease of doing business index).
Not perfect, but still much better than a generation ago and much better than our brothers in the north. Give people economic freedom and this is what they can achieve. Give people the promise of "equality" and you will end up like North Korea.
