Talk with Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi

Posted by Anup Baral September 27, 2016 :Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi has said that the government will prepare a report about the presence of Uranium in Mustang within the next seven months. Joshi informed the Industry, Commerce and Consumer Welfare Committee of the Legislature-Parliament on Friday that the government has sent a team to Lo Manthang of Mustang to explore the potential of Uranium in the district. However, the team will return after 2 weeks without completing its research because of the cold weather.
He further informed the committee that the exploration will be continued after winter and will get completed by mid-April 2017. “The government resource alone is not sufficient to explore the Uranium mines. We will seek help from the private sector when the work resumes,” said Joshi.
