Trisuli accident : 561 dead in 10 years

Posted by Anup Baral September 28, 2016 :A car carrying seven persons including former Minister for Home Affairs Madhav Ghimire has gone missing in the Trishuli River on Sunday afternoon. Whereas three bodies were recovered, three including Ghimire are still missing. The car driver Bishnu Rai is rescued injured. The deceased have been identified as Ghimire’s mother, a neighbour Ram Chandra Karki and a security guard, Armed Police Force ASI Narayan Kafle, informed Chief District Officer Binod Prakash Singh. The two other missing, except the former minister, are yet to be identified. Police said the four-wheeler (Ba 9 Cha 1531) had plunged into the mighty river at around 4 pm today. Madhav Ghimire was the Minister for Home Affairs as well as Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Khil Raj Regmi-led Interim Council of Ministers in 2013-14.
