Protest In Tikapur

The ex-police association has urged the government not to give amnesty to those found guilty in the incident that took place at Tikapur of Kailali last year in course of the movement for a separate Tharuhat state. The former service personnel who had reached the district headquarters to attend a function marking the 61st Police Day said that immunity to those accused of committing the heinous crime would not be acceptable."We urge the government not to free those who are behind the killing of eight police personnel in the line of duty", said the Association's district chair Rana Bahadur Bista. Two of the eight police personnel killed in the incident were from Baitadi district.
