Facts about Vehicle accident in Nepal

Posted by Anup Baral | November 29, 2017 : At least eight persons were killed and 23 others injured when a bus plunged into the Trishuli River at Chumlingtar of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 in Chitwan on Wednesday morning. The ill-fated-bus was heading to Arghakahnchi from Kathmandu. The whereabouts of three others is unknown. Seven persons died on the spot while another breathed his last while undergoing treatment. Four of the deceased have been identified as Laxmi Poudel (43) of Sandhikharka Municipality in Arghakhanchi, Nudraj Adhikari (52) of Arghakhanchi, Amar Bahadur Shahi (32), of Dailekh and Krishna Dhakal (52) of Bardaghat, Nawalparasi. Laxmi died while undergoing treatment at B and B Hospital in Kathmandu.
District Police Office Chitwan Chief Superintendent of Police Deepak Thapa said the bus plunged into the Trishuli River after colliding with a truck coming from opposite direction. Of the injured, 21 were bus passengers while two were on board the truck. Nine injured persons are receiving treatment at Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital, while 12 others have undergone treatment at various health facilities in Kathmandu. Area Police Office Muglin has taken the truck driver and helper, who sustained minor injuries, under control after minor treatment at a polyclinic at Muglin. The bus has completely sunk in the river. Attempts to take the bus out of the river had been in vain till late evening. The bus departed at 5:40am from the capital. According to passengers, there were 32 persons, including the driver and helper, on board the bus. The accident site lies 16 kilometres away from Muglin.

It gives us a new perspective about life and especially our life, it can help us change some of our habits or even create new ones. When I travel I usually make it a point to try new food, some cultures don’t have fries in their diet and they are all skinny, others use spices to give taste and not oils or fats. Discovering different values and ways to get by in life is really interesting. You also need to visit exotic new places and discover what this wonderful world has to offer.
