Power News: Dr Govinda KC vs Chief Justice (CJ) Gopal Parajuli

Dr Govinda KC was arrested while staging a sit-in-protest on charge of contempt of court soon after he announced his 14th hunger-strike on Monday demanding resignation of Chief Justice (CJ) Gopal Parajuli. A single bench of Justice Dambar Bahadur Shahi directed the Home Ministry to produce Dr KC at the court after Apex Court section officer Netra Bandhu Poudel lodged a contempt of court case against Dr KC. Following the Home Ministry’s order, Police arrested the senior orthopedic surgeon from the hunger-strike staged at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj this evening. Spokesperson for the Supreme Court, Narayan Prasad Panthi said that a case has been filed against Dr KC from making contemptuous remarks against the Apex Court and will be presented before the court on Tuesday morning. Speaking to media, while being arrested, Dr KC announced that he would continue his hunger strike in custody. Dr KC who has staged hunger strikes 13 times prior to this, demanding the reforms in medical education, announced his 14th fast-unto-death strike demanding CJ Parajuli’s resignation accusing him of his involvement in corruption and nexus with medical mafias.

It’s a very good stress remover that has a lot more to give than most people are willing to accept.

Traveling increases our knowledge and widens our perspective. To view new customs, different ways of living is fantastic for the mind. It gives us a new perspective about life and especially our life, it can help us change some of our habits or even create new ones. When I travel I usually make it a point to try new food, some cultures don’t have fries in their diet and they are all skinny, others use spices to give taste and not oils or fats. Discovering different values and ways to get by in life is really interesting. You also need to visit exotic new places and discover what this wonderful world has to offer.
